I still remember the first time I visited Cellar Door, all the way back in my undergrad days. This place is a literati refuge, where the selection is curated far beyond best sellers lists. I love being able to pop in with nothing but a vibe. The booksellers here know their strengths, have excellent taste, and make sure you leave with the right fit for you. Whenever a friend tells me they still get books from Amazon or Barnes, the first thing out my mouth is ew. The second is why haven't you gone to Cellar Door? Besides the excellent customer service and community, Linda is a generous and kind soul. As a teacher, cultivating a classroom library is costly. It's arguably one of the most important areas of an English classroom -- buying books at garage sales, swap meets, and other used places isn't as accessible as people think them to be. Many of these places have gone digital, with scalpers and resellers hoarding books bought on the cheap to sell on Amazon and eBay. Cellar Door has donated so many novels to me, all of which my students have loved and cherished. I'm incredibly thankful to Cellar Door, especially Linda.

i love this bookstore. you can find just about anything you might want on current politics, science fiction, fantasy and children’s literature. terrific book clubs too!

What a delightful little shop! The staff are all friendly and helpful. The recommendations are excellent, and the book club choices are really intriguing! I can't wait to go back! And I'm really excited to meet the people that lead the book clubs!

Picked up a book today that I ordered and avoided Amazon. Walked in and fell in love with this bookstore. Employees are so nice!

This is my new favorite book store. I loved the options in the Fantasy section. I will definitely be going back when I finish the last stack of books I bought there.

I cannot recommend this little shop enough. The book selection is carefully curated to showcase authors who may not get the recognition they deserve in corporate shops. I went to an author meet and greet here that was facilitated beautifully and well attended. The book club selection is extensive - there is truly something for everyone. This place is a treasure.

I was passing by the area and I was glad to find this book store. Staff is very friendly and willing to help if you’re looking for something specific. They are also willing to order something for you if they don’t have it in their store. I’m very happy with the diverse selection they have. Not only do they have a few popular books, but they also have books that I’ve never heard of before. They are also very culturally diverse too! You can sign up for their rewards program with your name at the register, which is if you buy 10 books you get some money off a book after that. Very cozy ambience and grateful they had a bathroom since I was commuting from OC. I was a little sad that I missed their furry mascot, who was on vacation. I will definitely come back if I’m passing by.
